Who’s the person taking my photo?

Oh hey that's me. I’m Zara (Zah-ruh), you can call me Z if you want. Growing up I wanted to be a skateboarder and Photographer. There's still time right? Life lately has been a balance of motherhood and trying to create some meaningful photographs. I'm raising two daughters to be a forces of nature and I'm trying to be more intentional with the photos I take. I'm in the process of growing and learning everyday. Welcome to my website.

 I received a journalism degree from Emerson College, which helps inform the approach I take to making your photographs.  My method is more about documenting the moments and less about posing you into people you aren't.

Feel uncomfortable and awkward taking photos? Yeah, me too. Hence why I’m behind the camera. Hence why I chose not to get engagement photos myself when I was getting married, a decision I completely regret. Self-confidence isn’t easy, I understand it’s scary to jump in front of the camera. But if you're ready to take the plunge I'm here to help you get some beautiful photos of yourself. I ask that you just show up as you. Wear something that gives you a little pep and bring good vibes.
